It was great to work in the beautiful town of Falmouth, where we installed 7kW of solar PV using a Fox H1- 6.0 hybrid inverter and JA545W modules, along with a 6kW Fox EP battery for a good friend of ours! The generation predictions for this part of the UK are much better than here in the Midlands. Installed on a south facing roof with a 25-degree pitch, 1 kW of solar panels will generate 874kW/h per year compared to 1067kW in Falmouth. It really does make sense to install solar in a location such as this! We used TIGO optimisers on the modules to mitigate the shading from a large tree and a MYENERGI EDDI to divert excess generation straight into the immersion cylinder.
We love to work away from home and get the chance to explore new places and Falmouth didn’t disappoint. With the lovely Tregoniggie woodland close by, footpaths leading to neighbouring villages and the boardwalk down to Swanpool beach, our field engineer had a ball.  There was plenty to do and see for the humans too, as our job coincided with the annual Sea Shanty festival. We loved the Moth & Moon, as well as the well-hidden Trengilly Wartha Inn at Nancenoy. Much fun to be had by all, even though it really was a work trip!!
