EXCELLENT Based on 8 reviews Posted on Sherzeen KilbrideTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Feel very lucky to have met Helena and Paul at a festival just at the time i was looking into installing Soler PV system, and not having trusted the more corporate entities out there that had quoted for me at that point .Electrik Collective price was by far rhe most competitive and i found them to be straightforward and trustworthy - always willing to answer questions and share information about the options available. Electrik Collective have now have installed 2 Solar PV systems on our property - a FIT system in 2019 and a then Battery storage sytem in 2023- making us self -sufficient for 8 months of the year -Highly recommended by us.Posted on Tomek WojcikTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The Electrik Collective were recommended to me by friends who had recently had a major house rewire, and they spoke very highly of them. It goes without saying that I am delighted with the work carried out. I cannot recommend strongly enough that people have an EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) carried out. We discovered that the home we had been living in for five years had sockets wired in a way that could have resulted in a fatal electric shock or, just as concerning, an electrical fire due to overloading. Following my friends’ recommendation, the work was completed competently and neatly. As someone who asks a lot of questions, I found Paul to be incredibly knowledgeable. It is reassuring to know your electrician is fully up to date with the latest regulations. He is also personable and easy to deal with, which made the whole process straightforward and stress free. I would not hesitate to recommend The Electrik Collective.Posted on Adrian EvansTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After moving house, I asked Electrik Collective to install a new PV & battery system for me in 2024. Having previously used their services in 2016 on 5kw PV system, I knew that Paul & Helena were a good team. They undertook site visits and explained a range of options. My installation was a bit more complex given the location of the panels & batteries away from the house. With their pricing being competitive, it was an easy decision to ask them to undertaken the work again. One 5kw array with two separate Fox ESS battery systems (10 & 6 KW) were installed over 4 days along with the necessary cabling on a farm site including old buildings with very thick walls. The systems have performed brilliantly - resulting in 65% and 35% energy savings across my two separate systems. Highly recommend if you are considering PV systems.Posted on Helen SmithTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Paul and Helena have carried out a variety of electrical work for us over many years and we have been delighted with all aspects of their work. Only a mile away and always willing to help with power issues on the farm and caravan site makes Electrik Collective a pleasure to do business with. Our rental properties have been electrically tested by Paul, LED commercial lights have been installed to help save money and an old electrical system has been stripped back and made more efficient. Highly recommended.Posted on Byron VincentTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We used Electrik Collective for our PV install in 2023 and can’t recommend them highly enough. From initial visit to turning on the power: the service we received was second to none. When we first started looking at systems we were unsure where to start. Paul and Helena took the time to understand our consumption patterns and what we hoped to achieve. They explained how it all worked, answered our countless questions and took this all away to design the perfect system for our needs and budget. They were extremely professional and talked us through every stage keeping us well informed. Paul even braved the frosty February mornings up on our roof to ensure that the installation itself went really smoothly and we could benefit from the bright winters sun as soon as possible. We went for an 8kw system with 5kw of battery pack. Paul and Helena also advised us on the benefits of installing an “Eddy”. This nifty device can be programmed to divert any surplus energy (once batteries are charged) to our immersion heater. What this means is that not only are we saving on electric we are also saving on gas! The benefits of the system were instantaneous after they switched it on. The system has far surpassed our expectations and is generating around 7Mwh / year! In the summer months we only pay our standing charges for electric and gas and the money we get back from the excesss we generate (via our feed in tariff) goes a long way towards covering our winter bills. Our only regret is not having done this sooner. We can’t recommend Electrik Collective highly enough and would have no hesitation using again if we move house.Posted on Richard TomlinsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Paul and Helena have done quite a lot of work at our new house. Not just general work where they have helped us get our outside lights working along with new flood lights and timers. Then on to the main event of 20 solar panels and initially 2 batteries. With the recommended optimisers we were soon making so much electricity we have had a further 2 for those bright winter days too, and we still make enough back from the grid to pretty much cover the whole year. Put this all together with speed, efficiency and very reasonably priced. A definite for jobs large and small. Paul and Helena made the whole process really straightforward. The installation was professionally done and Paul answered our multiple questions about how it works in a clear manner. We're now looking forward to reducing our carbon footprint slightly with our solar electricity.
If you have 20m2 or more of south facing roof space, then yes it probably is. East and west facing roofs are also suitable. Call us to arrange a site survey to ascertain how suitable your property is.
Give us a call; we can test the system to find out what the problem is. We can fit replacement inverters, extra batteries or increase a system capacity.
You don’t make money as such; you save money on your bills. Solar panels generate electricity on your roof which is then used in the house before you import electricity from the grid.
Yes, if you have batteries installed, any excess electricity generated by your panels will be stored for use later in the day.
Yes, you need to have a smart meter fitted provide a MCS certificate and proof that the system has been notified to National Grid.
If you live in a listed building, or within a conservation area then yes you probably do. Most other properties should be able to install solar panels within’ Permitted development’ guidelines. It’s always best to check with your local authority’s planning department.
