Electrical Vehicle Charging

Smart car chargers that work with microgeneration

We supply and install electric vehicle charging points, both tethered and untethered, for domestic and commercial environments. A good charging unit will optimise self-consumption by working with microgeneration such as solar PV, helping you make the most of the electricity you generate on site.

Charger Options and Installation

EV chargers can be set to charge at different rates, including directly from the grid, with varying cost implications. They can be installed indoors or outdoors and are supplied with anti-tamper protection and security PIN access.

Chargers are available with or without a charging cable (tethered or untethered) and can be installed on single or three-phase supplies, making them suitable for a wide range of properties and applications.

Remote control via an app is possible when the charger is connected to Wi-Fi, allowing users to monitor charging, adjust settings, and optimise energy use. Smart chargers can be programmed to prioritise solar generation, grid power, or a combination of both.

We particularly recommend the MyEnergi Zappi, which is user-friendly, competitively priced, and comes with a 3-year warranty. It works seamlessly with other MyEnergi devices, such as the Eddi, to maximise self-consumption from solar PV and other microgeneration systems.

EV chargers are fitted from around £1,150.
